It's that simple.I built this site for professional publishers and over the years I've found that two hundred books is a pretty common print run for many independent publishers. It's also a number that fits our production style, which is more print-as-needed, rather than print-on-demand. So, logically on my calculators, two hundred books is a break point, and it's where you'll find the biggest per book cost savings. Three hundred books will save you a bit more, but decide if it's worth it. While you can order as many books as you want, I encourage you to save money by ordering only the books you need, break point or no break point. If you need 50 books, only order 50 books. If you need 100 books, only order 100 books. The most important thing is not to have unsold books piling up in your garage, basement, or warehouse. Instead, the priority is to always to sell the books you have. You can always order more books. Just sell out of what you have to maximize your profit.Ultra-Short Run Jobs (less than 50 books)Use this calculator to order proofs, advance reading copies, (ARC'S) and ultra short run reprints.
